We went with six very good chums and the welcome we received from Keik was wonderful. This was our first visit and I'm sure it won't be our last. The first nights meal was brilliant along with the odd glass of wine or two!!! Nothing seemed too much trouble for Keik from organising wine tours, restaurants, train timetables, through to taxis. Je voulais vous remercier pour l'excellent séjour passé chez vous en juillet, pendant 15 jours, dans le petit gîte que j'ai retrouvé avec bonheur puisque c'est la quatrème fois que je viens à la Bastide en trois ans. Merci aussi pour votre accueil, votre disponibilité et votre gentillesse. Merci pour les trois repas en table d'hôtes où j'ai pu, comme tous ceux présents ces soirs là, goûter à votre cuisine fine et généreuse. Merci pour le calme et la sérénité que vous savez protéger chez vous et pour la "magie" du lieu que vous entretenez avec bonheur. De plus, j'ai rencontré, cette année encore des gens très sympathiques, qu'ils soient français, hollandais, belges ou australiens. Tout le monde était détendu et heureux de se retrouver dans l'ambiance que vous savez créer comme personne grâce à votre présence et votre discrétion aussi. Pour notre anniversaire de mariage, comme chaque année depuis 4 ans nous partons en week end détente dans une chambre d'hôte. Cette année à la bastide, tout était au rendez vous, le calme, la beauté de la demeure et l' accueil simple et chaleureux de kieck que nous tenons encore à remercier. Prendre un petit déjeuner en terrasse face à la vallée de la Dordogne, sous un beau soleil est exceptionnel. Pouvoir flaner à la piscine, et partir visiter Saint Emilion. Un week-end end d'exception dans un lieu sompteux et des chambres splendides. Merci, nous reviendrons.

We have just arrived home to Australia after having a lovely two months away in your beautiful France ands also in Spain, UK, Dubai, Singapore and Hong Kong. By far, out stop over for two nights at your place was certainly one of the highlights of staying at over 28 hotels, B&B's and apartments during our trip. The position of your "Farm House" was so serene in a beautiful country setting to "die for". We were also lucky to take advantage of nearby St Emillion, Bergerac and a little village called Duras - such beautiful towns/locations Thanks also for your kind hospitality and knowledge of the area. The room we had was very roomy for European standards as were the lounge rooms. We also enjoyed a dip in your pool to cool down in the hot weather we were experiencing at the time (early July). The breakfast s were great which also included cooked eggs ( to our Aussie liking !!!) and a large pot of fresh tea, not to mention the usual French goodies. I should also mention the local dutch cheese which was also a treat. Thanks again Kiek and I am sure if we ever make it back to France we will be keen to look you up again.

We waren op reis door de Perigord en zochten een onderkomen voor vier nachten in de purpere wijnstreek. De Bastide van Kiek is meer dan een onderkomen. De oude hoeve biedt een prachtig uitzicht op de de Dordognevalei, ze is smaakvol en confortabel ingericht. Een aanrader voor wandelaars: ga rechtdoor door wijngaarden en langs de kreken in de vlakte tot aan de Dordogne in St. Auylaye, 4uur. De gastvrouw, iedereen noemt haar Kiek, zorgt ervoor dat de gasten in de vier kamers en de bijhorende gites een kleine ongedwongen gemeenschap vormen. Vakantie op hoog niveau. Bedankt Kiek.

ueber 2.000 km sind wir gefahren um nach bergerac und in die schoene dordogne zu kommen. wir haben aus oesterreich das schoene wetter mitgebracht und haben hier eine wunderschoene zeit verbracht. Das Quartier ist sehr liebevoll renoviert und alles, was fuer einen erholsamen urlaub noetig ist vorhanden.
Wir werden sicher eines Tages wieder kommen, denn es gibt in dieser Gegend noch sehr viel zu besichtigen.
Danke vielmals an Madame, wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefuehlt und werden in Oesterreich werbung fuer diesen wunderschoenen Platz machen.

We had stayed at La Bastide for one night in 2005 and always dreamed of returning so this time we booked for 5 nights. Our expectations of being welcomed back, made to feel at home and being able to relax completely were not only met but exceeded. As Australians on a month long visit to Europe La Bastide was a place where we could unwind and practice our French if we wanted to but also have a break and speak English to our multilingual host, Kiek. The view from the terrace is even better than it looks in the website and gave us a real feeling of space and peace after time in crowded cities. A joy to have a spacious room too. Beautiful villages are close at hand and Kiek is a fund of information on the best places to eat.and visit. We found her recommendations spot on and she was quick to pick up on the type of people we are and tailor her hospitality to suit us personally. With a bit of luck we will return!

Fréquentant depuis de nombreuses années gîtes et chambres d'hôtes, nous pouvons dire que La Bastide des Trémières est l'un des endroits les plus beaux que nous ayons jamais trouvés. Le site est superbe et d'un calme parfait pour qui cherche un séjour reposant mais jamais ennuyeux. Une belle piscine de 6mx12 m permet vraiment de nager (ce qui est rare !) et de se detendre. Les chambres, meublées avec goût, sont très spacieuces , les salles de bains irréprochables. L'accueil de Kiek est chaleureux et sincère. Elle aime recevoir et le fait parfaitement, se tenant à la disposition de ses hôtes avec efficacité et discretion aussi. C'est également une excellente cuisinière qui sait parfaitement accommoder le poisson (entre autres, bien sûr). Nous avons découvert La Bastides des Trémières l'an dernier et sommes revenus cette année. C'est une adresse précieuse, à ne divulguer qu'à de véritables amis.

Everything has been thought of; the rooms are spacious, the beds make you want to sleep 12 hours a day and drinks and dinner were waiting for us after a very long journey. The views are spectacular and you really wind down here in the hostess' great care.
We will definitely be back!

Wij mochten een weekje mee met een aantal oud gedienden. Zo leerden wij Kiek kennen en La Bastide. Wanneer je in een van de mooie zitkamers bent of aan het zwembad en je ziet in je ooghoek iets voorbij schieten dan is dit Kiek, weer bezig om een gast het naar zijn of haar zin te maken. Advies over een tripje of een bezoek aan een wijngaard, u vraagt, Kiek draait. Van het verzorgde ontbijt tot een diner, Kiek draait haar hand er niet voor om. En dan....... is er de nachtrust in een van de prima kamers. Kiek bedankt en tot ziens. O ja, de "groep " was ook leuk.

Lieve Kiek, We komen hier nu al voor de vierde keer. De gastvrijheid, de vrijheid en de warmte, die we hier meemaken zijn fantastisch en geven ons het gevoel van thuiskomen. De gezellige, comfortabele kamers en gemeenschappelijke verblijven zijn ideaal voor (verwende) gasten zoals wij. Er zit echter een nadeeltje aan en dat is het afscheid nemen. De enige reden, waarom we niet meer langs zouden komen, is omdat we geen afscheid meer willen nemen.

Hi Kiek,
De voornemens waren groots na het uitzonderlijk leuke veblijf bij jou in Bordeaux. We wilden iets speciaals maken maar zoals het veelal gaat ontbrak ons de tijd. Destenietemin wilden we je minstens toch verrassen met een paar leuke woorden en fotos. Je kan het misschien op je site plaatsen. We overwegen om volgend jaar langer te komen om zo de streek te kunnen verkennen. Laat ons alvast iets van je weten moest je in de buurt zijn of als je broer een wijn avond organiseert. Als we kunnen zijn we zeker van de partij.
Ons korte maar rake intermezzo is ons uitzonderlijk goed bekomen. We hebben genoten van elk aspect van ons verblijf, van het leuke paas ontbijt, classe logeerkamers, gezellig biljarten tot het mooie kader. Maar vooral de gastvrouw maakte het verschil. De gezellige babbels, het lekkere glaasje wijn en de gedeelde interesses. Al bij al een topper van formaat. Wij komen alvast terug, gewoon een kwestie van nieuwe verlof dagen te hebben in het volgend jaar en dan eten we ook een potje mee want dat is een ervaring die we blijkbaar gemist hebben.

Dear Kiek Thank you so much for your hospitality and generosity during our stay in early September. The utopic portion was made even more exquisite by your willingness to help us and suggest things to see or do. Most of all, we sincerely appreciated the note (on the chicken!) and the grapes to bid us farewell. The grapes were certainly a welcome snack on the train back to Paris. “Voor het eerst samen op reis, twee maand nadat ons moeke ons ontvallen was, het leek niet simpel. Maar zodra we bij Kiek toekwamen vonden we “ l‘ esprit en le savoir vivre” terug. Heerlijk fietsen in de omgeving tussen de wijngaarden en dan een verkwikkende plons in het mooie ruime zwembad. De perfecte uitvalsbasis naar Sauternes of Saint Emilion of Bergerac of zoveel meer Bordeaux. Het heerlijk ontbijt op het terras met enkel het gezang van de vogels en het zicht op de groene vallei van de Dordogne. En laat Kiek gerust eens koken voor u, ’s avonds, als ze dat voorstelt, met een streepje klassiek of jazz op de achtergrond. Ik/wij kom(en) zeker nog terug. Bedankt Kiek, voor de warmte, in graden Celsius, als in gastvrijheid.”

Aan de bezoeker van dit gastenboek, Tijdens de voorbije maand juni waren wij te gast op La Bastide des Trémières. Het karaktervolle huis, het prachtige zwembad met grote tuin, de met veel smaak ingerichte gastenverblijven met uitstekende bedden. Alle eer aan de gastvrouw. Kiek is een "Dame" die op gereserveerde manier bezorgd is om haar gasten. Na uw verblijf zult u met spijt huiswaarts keren en zeggen : hier kom ik zeker nog terug. Alle dank aan Kiek

Net de foto's opgehaald van het heerlijk lange weekend op la Bastide des tremieres. Heerlijk nagenieten, het waren weer heerlijke dagen . De gastvrijheid van Kiek, de prachtige omgeving , het smaakvol ingerichte huis met werkelijk heerlijke bedden en last but not least de voortreffelijke keuken. The view remains unspoiled by a no-go golf course, thus leaving La Bastide a reputation of the best view in town. This goes along with a hostess who is friendly, understanding, helpful and world-wise while letting her guests enjoy a good meal, a great (romantic) room, meaningful conversations and relaxing interior and exterior rooms. SInce wine did not influence the writing of this critique, imagine what a good bottle of the product of the local chateaus will do. A must if you are in the area and a plus if you do it in any of the 4 seasons. Kiek, you have done a great job and we look forward to another visit.

Kiek, in case you don't yet know steals consistenly the show when it comes to spoiling guests. She's decidedly the best also in the art of cooking. So, shortly one is slyly looking if the hooking of the belt shows as tightly as it's felt. To stay with Kiek is unforgettable! Departure the only thing regrettable.

Wat een rijk bezit, zo’n fraai landgoed op deze prachtige plek in Frankrijk !
Wij hebben genoten van je gastvrijheid, de gezelligheid, en van je culinaire verrassingen. De inrichting van je estate straalt ‘grandeur’ uit, alles is zo goed op elkaar afgestemd, van superieure kwaliteit en uiterst verzorgd. ‘14 Juillet’ bij jou, samen met de overige gasten te mogen doorbrengen, met overheerlijke culinaire specialiteiten uit de streek en afgerond met een groot vuurwerk in St. Foy vormde een hoogtepunt van ons verblijf bij jou en van onze vakantie.
Wij zullen onze ervaringen met vrienden delen en hopen nog eens de kans te krijgen bij je terug te komen.
